What we roof
Golden Roofing is a C-39 roofing contractor. Shingle, tile, shake and flat roofs are all in-house — the same crew handles a 1,600 sq ft San Carlos ranch and a flat commercial deck.

Built-up and modified-bitumen systems, repaired or torn off and replaced. A long-standing specialty of the shop.
Low-slope and flat commercial roofs in TPO single-ply, including tear-off of an existing tar and gravel roof and replacement in TPO.
Clay and concrete tile, plus Decra stone-coated steel tile — installation and repair.
Wood shingle and shake roofs installed and repaired — still common on older Peninsula and hillside homes.
Leaks, storm damage and patch work on any of the systems above, on both residential and commercial buildings.
About
Golden Roofing Company opened in San Carlos in February 1985 and incorporated the following year. Gildardo Pena — Gil — is president and owner, and he has been the qualifying individual on the company’s roofing license since 26 March 1987. Jose Gutierrez is vice president. Today the company employs 16 people.
That continuity is the whole pitch. Roofing is a trade where the company that warranties your roof needs to still exist in fifteen years, and where the estimator, the crew and the license holder are often three different companies. Here it has been one company and one license holder for four decades.
